We are delighted to announce that Alfio Quarteroni has been awarded the Olof B. Widlund Prize 2026 for Excellence in Domain Decomposition Methods.
Established by the Scientific Committee of ddm.org in 2020, the Olof B. Widlund Prize is a major international recognition awarded to established scientists for outstanding advances in the theory, algorithmic innovation, scalable implementation, and applications of domain decomposition methods, as well as for service to the domain decomposition community. The prize is named after Olof B. Widlund, one of the pioneers of domain decomposition methods.
The Olof Widlund Prize will be awarded to Professor Alfio Quarteroni at the 30th International Meeting on Domain Decomposition in Bogota, Colombia in December 2026.
