“Mathematics for Planet Earth” workshop, November 11-12, 2024

We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the Mathematics for Planet Earth workshop, held on 11–12 November at the Politecnico di Milano.

With around 80 participants and 15 research posters, the event highlighted the transformative role of mathematics in understanding and addressing the challenges confronting our planet.
The workshop was part of the “Department of Excellence” initiative of the Department of Mathematics of Politecnico di Milano, Research Line 2 “Mathematics for Sustainability” coordinated by Luca Formaggia, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) for 2023-27.
