Alessandro Veneziani, Professor of Numerical Analysis at Politecnico di Milano until 2007, has passed away far too soon.
At this time of grief, the MOX Laboratory of the Department of Mathematics wishes to honour his significant and lasting contributions. Those who had the privilege of collaborating and exchanging ideas with Alessandro remember his commitment to the dialogue between mathematics and applications, his original and rigorous approach to complex problems, his passion for teaching and research, and his enthusiasm.
Alessandro is an integral part of MOX’s history: his contributions have left a lasting mark on the Laboratory and on all those who knew and worked with him. His memory, scientific legacy, and enthusiasm for mathematics will continue to inspire us.
To his family, colleagues, friends, students, and all those who shared meaningful moments with him, we extend our deepest condolences.
