A study conducted at MOX, Department of Mathematics, Politecnico di Milano, has received the First Oden-Hughes Award for the best paper published in Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering in 2022-2023. The award was presented at the ECCOMAS 2024 Congress in Lisbon.
The winning paper was selected among the final 120 applications for the prize, out of 1,330 papers published in hashtag#CMAME over the years 2022-2023.
The paper, titled “A comprehensive and biophysically detailed computational model of the whole human heart electromechanical”, was authored by Marco Fedele, Roberto Piersanti, Francesco Regazzoni, Matteo Salvador, Pasquale Claudio Africa, Michele Bucelli, Alberto Zingaro, Luca Dede’, and Alfio Quarteroni.
