Abstract:
La tesi presenta un nuovo approccio per la determinazione della dipendenza funzionale dell esito dell integrazione numerica di leggi di conservazione, da parametri noti con incertezza. Il metodo è intrusivo e si basa su algoritmi di automatic differentiation e quindi richiede minime
modifiche al codice utilizzato per l integrazione numerica nel caso
deterministico. L approccio è stato testato su un sistema iperbolico
ben noto in gas dinamica, corrispondente alle equazioni di conservazione di
Eulero con dati iniziali discontinui.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT
The thesis introduce a new technique for computing the explicit dependence of the result of the numerical integration of a conservation law with respect to one or more parameters. The method is intrusive, but it relies on an automatic differentiation algorithm, therefore it requires minimal modifications of the code used for the plain numerical integration. We present an example of application to the study of the shock tube, that is Euler s system of equations with discontinuous initial conditions.
