Abstract
Tumor hypoxia drives resistance to photon radiotherapy, making carbon ion RT a promising alternative, yet patient selection rarely accounts for hypoxia due to the lack of non-invasive biomarkers. The Hi-ROC project aims to develop multimodal hypoxia biomarkers and digital-twin tools to enable personalized selection between photon RT and CIRT and to guide future clinical trials.
