Lucia Mirabella finalist of the ECCOMAS Ph.D. Thesis Award 2010
Lucia Mirabella, who obtained her Ph.D. at MOX with a thesis on
"Numerical methods for cardiovascular problems: computational electrocardiology and fluid dynamics in moving domains",
has been named finalist of the
ECCOMAS Ph.D. Thesis Award 2010, an important achievement based on
a heavy screening procedure by the national and international ECCOMAS commettee.
Last year, Tiziano Passerini was finalist in the same competition. Tiziano Passerini got his PhD Thesis at MOX (in 2009) as well.
Lucia is presently working in the research group of Prof. Yoganathan at Georgia Institute of Technology after a period of collaboration with Prof. A. Veneziani at Emory University. To her, our most sicere congratulations for the prestigious result.
